Starwest Botanicals, Herb & Spice Supplier
Starwest Botanicals, one of the largest suppliers of organic herbs in the U.S., came to us at the end of 2021 needing marketing help.
We started by creating a digital newsletter that spoke to their two key audiences, wholesale customers and retail customers. We wrote a featured article for the newsletter and incorporated additional content from the Starwest team such as industry updates and team spotlights.
Knowing that a full brand refresh and new website were in the works, we focused on supporting the content with a clean template design that could enable a smooth transition to their new branding in the coming months.
The newsletter that was sent in December was so well received both internally and by customers, that we immediately started working on the next edition to send in February.
Starwest was ready to roll out their new branding in time for the May edition, so we reworked the visual style to apply their new logo, colors, and typography in the third volume of the newsletter.

“In my current and prior CEO roles, when I needed a website, creation of a newsletter, and help with B2B outreach through LinkedIn presence, Angela was my first phone call. I knew she understood the food ingredient, flavor, and wellness space and could deliver impact with little to no learning curve. My experience on all projects with her studio has been just that! She’s a true extension of our team and is my easy button. Our results have been both amazing and immediate. I highly recommend Noble Intent Studio—they are certainly my ‘go to’ and I have every confidence the best is yet to come.”

LinkedIn Marketing
We expanded our marketing scope at the beginning of 2022 to begin marketing on Starwest’s LinkedIn Company Page. Their first venture into social media was met with enthusiasm from the Starwest team and their customers and prospects.
Our first month’s posts to the LinkedIn Company Page resulted in much higher than average Impressions and Engagement. We saw more than 9,000 total Post Impressions in the first month, with Impressions per post ranging from 500-2,2000.

We saw an average engagement rate on their posts of 7% in the first month of Page management. Average engagement rates on LinkedIn are around 2-3%, and we typically see 4-6% on other Pages we manage.
By our fourth month of LinkedIn Company Page management for Starwest, their Engagement rate had surpassed 10% . Their monthly engagements surpass those of their largest competitors (many of whom have 2x-8x as many followers as Starwest).
We’re excited to continue to watch these marketing efforts drive results for Starwest.
